Pilates

Do I need to be flexible or experienced to start Pilates?

No; you aren't expected to know every movement or be very flexible before you begin. Pilates exercises can be adapted to different experience levels. Share your movement background and expectations with our instructor to explore a suitable class option.

What is the difference between mat Pilates and reformer?

Mat Pilates is practised on a floor mat, mostly using your body weight. Reformer uses equipment with a moving carriage and spring resistance. Both involve movement control; the equipment and practice differ. Contact us to discuss the formats currently available at the studio.

What should I bring to my first class?

Comfortable sportswear and water are a good starting point. We'll explain any socks or other preparation for your chosen format when you plan your visit. It's fine to be new; bring your questions with you.

How often should I come, and when will I notice a difference?

There is no single class frequency or result timeline that suits everyone. Your starting point, consistency and everyday life all play a part. Talk to your instructor about a routine that feels sustainable for you.

Can I start Pilates during pregnancy or after giving birth?

Exercise during this time needs an individual assessment. Speak to your own healthcare professional first, then contact the studio to discuss whether a suitable class option is available. A Pilates class does not replace medical assessment or treatment.

Power Plate

Is standing on the Power Plate enough?

Power Plate involves exercising on a vibrating platform. Positions, strength, balance and stretching movements vary with the class plan. Your instructor guides the equipment and practice; think of it as one part of your movement routine.

Is Power Plate the same as Pilates?

Pilates is an exercise approach focused on breath, control and flowing movement. Power Plate is a platform that produces vibration during exercise. They offer different experiences. Explore our videos and share your expectations with our female instructors.

How long is a session?

Power Plate sessions last 20 minutes. We’ll clarify the session details with you based on your selected class and planned content. You can select Power Plate in the contact form to inquire about available days and times that suit your schedule.

What should I discuss before starting?

Share your experience, expectations and movements you feel comfortable with. If you're pregnant or have a health condition, consult your own healthcare professional before using a vibrating platform. Suitability needs an individual assessment.

Will Power Plate alone make me lose weight?

No single device or class can promise a particular weight change or targeted inch loss. Movement habits, nutrition and individual circumstances all play a part. Power Plate can be considered alongside walking and other activities in your routine.
